What Do I Do to Book a Custom Tattoo?
First of all, thank you for your interest!
My 2024 calendar us officially closed to Custom Design inquiries. It may reopen in small bursts, but the Flash designs will remain open.

How Do I Book a Flash or a Pre-drawn Tattoo?
I’m currently amassing a large FLASH art drop, so when that becomes available I’ll update this section!
My flash books ARE open though, so if the initial designs or a guest design appeal to you, feel free to apply now!

Do You Tattoo Other Artists' Work?
Sometimes! This is a case-by-case basis and I will usually request permission to make changes to the art to best fit your body.
The original artist must provide permission and ideally also be reimbursed for their work.

How Much Does a Tattoo Cost?
I have an hourly rate of $200/hr and will do my best to provide an accurate quote for our project. Some flash pieces and smaller pieces can be available as a flat rate.
A Deposit of $50 is required to hold an appointment/art and will be issued in the form of an invoice.
Depending on the complexity of the design, I will charge $50-200 for a one-time Drawing Fee. This does not factor into your actual tattooing time, as it is for the art I’m bringing to our session. An invoice for the fee will be issues alongside the Deposit.
All Invoiced AND credit card payments will be charged an additional 6.5% Seattle tax. Cash payments are not taxed.
I do not require tipping, as I pay myself a livable wage. If you would like to make a gesture, please feel free to bring a totem for the studio or a treat for Laika.

What About Covid?
I’m working on being VERY safe. Masking and proof of Vaccination(s) are required.
Guests are welcome on a case-by case basis. For mobility issues, a plus one is always welcome.
If you are feeling at all sick or have been exposed to someone who may have Covid, PLEASE reach out and I will happily rebook your appointment to the next possible date to keep everyone safe.

What Do I Do to Prepare for a Tattoo?
In the upcoming days, I’d recommend hydrating with water and stocking up on any aftercare you may need for recovery. I’d recommend products such an Aveeno, Cetaphil, Aquaphor, Coconut Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Jojoba Oil, Calendula Oil, or something similar. You don’t want added scents or grit in your aftercare.
On the day-of, try to get a full meal in your belly—if you’re anxious and can’t eat much, I’d recommend a smoothie. Wear comfy clothes that are easy-access to your tattoo zone that are okay to get ink on. Don’t forget to bring water and snacks if you get low blood sugar.

What Do I Need to Do After the Tattoo?
After your tattoo please give yourself a rest and plenty of hydration.
If you are wrapped up in traditional/temporary bandages, remove them that evenings and gently wash with soap (gentle, unscented) and water. Air dry or towel dry with a clean towel. Apply your aftercare with clean hands. If you care about your sheets, wear a clean loose-fitting garment over the tattooed area. Do NOT let your pet(s) near the tattoo, as pet dander is a large cause of infection. In the morning, wash, dry, and apply aftercare to the area. Repeat adding aftercare as needed.

What About Saniderm/Second Skin?
Saniderm is a breathable bandage that stays on your skin for 3-7 days after applied.
I will do my best to stock products like Saniderm or Second Skin in my studio, as it is a wonderful healing product. Only use this product if you do not have a medical adhesive allergy and if you are comfortable with a “sticker” sensation on your skin.

How Long Does Healing Take?
Everyone is different, but I’ve found the average healing time for linework-only tattoos to be approx 2-3 weeks. Typically faster if you are an experienced tattoo client.
Color tattoos or pieces with large shading elements can take up to several months to fully heal.
Remember that you should not expose your fresh tattoo to sunlight and refrain from soaking the area for the first 1-2 months.
-
What If My Tattoo Needs a Touch-Up?
Sometimes life happens and we just don’t get a perfect heal. As long as the tattoo is relatively recent (within a year, ideally) and you didn’t INTENTIONALLY alter the healing of your tattoo, I’m happy to touch-up free of charge.
If you want to touch-up and add on to a preexisting tattoo, that new art will be charged at my regular hourly rate.

Allergies
I do not use Latex gloves and have wrapping alternatives for clients with allergies to medical adhesive.
My soap has trace amounts of Lavender oil in it, but I can make a swap out for Castile soap if there are any concerns.
I use no nut products in any of my aftercare.
Any other allergies should be discussed at the time of your tattoo appointment.
